*Congress Comes to House with Pre-Decided Agenda, Relies on False Claims and Allegations – Chief Minister*

Chandigarh, August 27 – Haryana Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini on Thursday said that the Congress comes to the House with a pre-decided agenda and remains unwilling to listen to facts. Strongly rejecting the Congress's allegations that its members are stopped from entering the House and subjected to humiliation, the Chief Minister clarified that neither the Leader of the Opposition nor any other Opposition member was stopped from entering the House or insulted. All members are allowed to enter the House with due respect.

 

The Chief Minister, while responding on the first day of the Monsoon Session of the Haryana Vidhan Sabha to allegations made by the Leader of the Opposition, Sh. Bhupinder Singh Hooda and Dr. Raghuvir Singh Kadian that they were stopped from entering the House and pushed, calling the allegations completely false.

 

Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said it is unfortunate that the Congress is not prepared to listen to anything in the House. He further said that the party has already decided its agenda and is levelling allegations accordingly. He further said it is also very unfortunate that the Congress has made its senior leaders wear black clothes, remarking that they are not at an age to be made to wear such attire.

 

The Chief Minister reiterated that no one misbehaves with the Congress members and that they were allowed to enter the House with full respect. He said that falsehood is always part of the Congress's agenda, adding that its leaders make false statements and level allegations, and that this is all they have to offer.

The Chief Minister further said that he has gathered complete information about the incident and the Opposition's claims in the House that its members were hurt or subjected to any kind of mistreatment are completely false.

 

He suggested that the Vidhan Sabha Speaker can call members from both the ruling party and the Opposition to his chamber and have the relevant video footage examined. He said the footage will establish the facts and clarify the entire situation.

The Chief Minister said that the House should be allowed to function smoothly, as the people of Haryana are watching everything. Urging the Vidhan Sabha Speaker to ensure discussion in the House, he said that this August House is meant for discussion and debate, and if any member has an issue, it can be raised for discussion, and the government will respond to it. However, the kind of uproar being created is neither appropriate for the Opposition nor in keeping with the dignity of the House.

 

The Chief Minister said that the people of Haryana are watching everything and are well aware of what is right and what is wrong. They have seen the tenure of the Opposition and are also witnessing the governance under the leadership of Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi.
