Chandigarh, August 29 – Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini, on Saturday, gave a major development boost to Nuh district by inaugurating and laying the foundation stones of 22 development projects worth Rs. 174.66 crore. The projects encompass key initiatives aimed at strengthening healthcare services and expanding sports, education and other public infrastructure. The Chief Minister laid the foundation stones of 17 projects and inaugurated five projects.

The largest among these projects is the construction of a 100-bedded District Civil Hospital (DCH) on the premises of the old CHC in Nuh at a cost of Rs. 155.49 crore, for which the Chief Minister laid the foundation stone. Under various projects of the Health Department, Sub-Health Centre (SHC) buildings will also be constructed at village Adbar at a cost of Rs. 60 lakh, village Chharora at Rs. 79 lakh, village Kankar Kheri (Kherli Nuh) at Rs. 64 lakh, village Nai at Rs. 69 lakh, village Siroli at Rs. 61 lakh and village Indri at Rs. 63 lakh. Block Public Health Unit (BPHU) buildings will also be constructed at village Padheni at a cost of Rs. 50 lakh and at Pingwan at a cost of Rs. 62 lakh.

Development and Panchayats Minister, Sh. Krishan Lal Panwar, Industries and Commerce Minister, Rao Narbir Singh, Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister, Sh. Shyam Singh Rana and others also remained present on this occasion.

*Sports and Education Infrastructure to Get a Boost*

The Chief Minister also laid the foundation stones of various projects of the Mewat Development Agency. These include the construction of a public park in Nuh at a cost of Rs. 2.45 crore, renovation of the sports stadium at Pingwan at a cost of Rs. 1.80 crore, and establishment of 100 Model Anganwadi Centres at a cost of Rs. 1.47 crore.

Similarly, girls’ toilets will be constructed in 33 government schools of Nuh block at a cost of Rs. 1 crore, while a sub-divisional-level library will be constructed in Hathin block at a cost of Rs. 39 lakh. Hybrid solar power plants will be installed in 14 government schools of Hathin block at a cost of Rs. 1 crore, while playgrounds will be developed in 10 government schools of Hathin block at a cost of Rs. 50 lakh.

Besides this, the Chief Minister laid the foundation stone for the construction of an Alvi Bhawan at village Lahabas in Pingwan block at a cost of Rs. 86 lakh.

*BPHU and TB Office Building Inaugurated*

The Chief Minister inaugurated two important projects of the Health Department. These include a Block Public Health Unit (BPHU) building constructed on the premises of CHC Punhana at a cost of Rs. 50 lakh and a TB Office building constructed on the premises of Civil Hospital, Mandikhera, at a cost of Rs. 1.54 crore.

The Chief Minister also inaugurated projects of the Mewat Development Agency, including the renovation of sports stadiums at village Shahpur-Nangli (Nuh) and Kameda (Ferozepur Jhirka ) at a cost of Rs. 85 lakh, and sports facilities provided in 16 government schools of Nuh district at a cost of Rs. 80 lakh.

The Chief Minister also distributed scholarships amounting to Rs. 92 lakh to students under the Mukhyamantri Mewat Garib Medhavi Chhatravriti Yojana and the Mukhyamantri Mewat Chhatra Pratibha Samman Yojana.

The Chief Minister said that the State Government is committed to continuously expanding healthcare, education, sports and other basic infrastructure in Nuh district to provide better facilities to the people. He said that these development projects will not only strengthen healthcare services but will also provide better educational and sports facilities to students and youth. The government remains committed to ensuring equitable development of all regions of the state.
