Chandigarh, September 27: Haryana Minister of State for Sports, Youth Empowerment and Law Sh. Gaurav Gautam on Sunday listened to the 138th episode of Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi’s monthly radio programme ‘Mann Ki Baat’ along with party workers and local citizens at the District BJP Office in Sector-2 in Palwal. The citizens and party workers present on the occasion listened attentively to the Prime Minister’s views and messages concerning the national interest.
After the programme, Sh. Gaurav Gautam said that ‘Mann Ki Baat’ is not merely a radio programme, but has evolved into a mass movement that provides positive direction to the people of the country. Through the programme, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi highlights inspiring stories of citizens doing exemplary work in different fields and encourages positive change and greater public participation in society.
Sh. Gaurav Gautam said that the Prime Minister has been consistently creating awareness among the people on important issues such as a drug-free India, cleanliness, environmental conservation, self-reliant India, women’s empowerment, innovation, promotion of local products and nation-building. He said that it is the responsibility of every party worker and citizen to take these messages to the people.
*Youth Participation Essential in the Fight Against Drug Abuse: Gaurav Gautam*
Sh. Gaurav Gautam said that young people who stay away from drugs are the strong foundation of a healthy, empowered and bright Haryana. He said that recently, lakhs of youth across the country took an important pledge against drug abuse. Along with pledging to stay away from drugs themselves, the youth also resolved to take this message to other members of society. He said that this effort is being carried out for 100 weeks under the ‘Drug-Free Youth Campaign’.
Sh. Gaurav Gautam said that the ‘Drug-Free Haryana-Namo Marathon-2026’, being organised under the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ launched to mark the completion of 25 years of Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi’s public service and nation-building journey, is also an important initiative towards creating awareness among youth against drug abuse and promoting a healthy lifestyle.
In the august presence of Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini, large numbers of youth are participating in these events and conveying the message of a drug-free, healthy and aware Haryana.

Sh. Gaurav Gautam said that Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi has called upon the people of the country to come together to strengthen the resolve of a ‘Drug-Free India’ and spread public awareness against drug abuse. He said that the journey towards a drug-free India begins with each one of us. Only through collective efforts can the youth be kept away from drugs and guided towards a healthy, empowered and bright future.
He called upon the youth, social organisations, public representatives and citizens to actively participate in awareness campaigns against drug abuse and collectively contribute to building a drug-free society and a stronger India.
